Caring For Your Lashes Extensions

let's be honest, once you get your lashes done, they will become your best friends
treat them with care, love and kindness

Woman with Long Eyelashes

48 Hours

The first 48 hours after your lash appointment are crucial to their life. Hahah life, but its true!

It is recommended to keep your freshly done lashes away from water within the first 48 hours. This does not only mean in the shower or in the pool if you are going on vacation. Stay away from saunas, steam pools, jacuzzis, sweat (the gym) , ect. Water and or anything that hold moisture will affect the glue that holds the lash extension to your natural eye lash.

Somehow, if, by accident you get water on your lashes don't panic! Gently pat your lashes down with a clean paper towel. You are then going to want to brush them and blow dry them setting on low and on cool air until they are dry.

the do and don't

Do

Proper hygiene is very important. Please keep lashes clean by regular washing. We have a special foaming lash bath eyelash cleanser available online or in our studio.

In order to keep your lashes in shape gently combing them with a spooly wand every morning to brush out any kinks and keep that desirable fan shape.

After the 48 hours are up, and you get your lashes wet, make sure you are drying them correctly. If you have a blow dryer, turn it on the cool and low setting and place it 10 inches from your faces. Brush your lashes while drying them.

Always return for infills within the time set by your technician, leave them to fall out naturally, or get them removed professionally. Never attempt to remove the extensions yourself.

Don't

Do not get your extensions wet for the first 24 hours â€“ exposing your new extensions to any moisture such as steam, high humidity and water, will result in the lash glue over-curing and becoming brittle, and your extensions will fall off within a few days.

NEVER apply mascara or liquid eyeliner to your extensions or upper eyelid. Both will adhere to the extensions, cannot be safely cleansed off and will create a breeding ground for bacteria. If you ignore this rule then you may be charged for a removal and full set.

Do not pick or pull at your extensions. The adhesive, although safe to use, is very strong and picking or pulling will pull your natural lashes out.

Keep oil based products away from your extensions, and limit the use of oily products on your face if possible. Oily products are absorbed into the skin and these then leave your body through pores in your skin, including your eyelids. This oil can travel onto the extensions and break down the glue.
